Transportation
Washington Dulles International Airport, just three
miles from Herndon, is a major hub offering hundreds of daily flights to destinations all
over the world. Additional flights are available at Washington National Airport (23
miles). Two municipal airports also serve the area: Leesburg, with a 3,500 foot paved,
lighted runway, and Manassas with a 5,700-foot paved, lighted runway. Both with fuel
available and IFR approach.

Rail
The Metrorail subway system is the main form of rail transportation in the area. Amtrak also provides passenger service with stations nearby. Other freight services are also available.
Bus
The Fairfax Connector provides local bus service
throughout the area. Nearby Washington, DC is served by Grayhound and Trailways bus
services.
Port facilities are available in Alexandria (Potomac River) and Front Royal (Virginia Inland Port).
